A Tale of Two Maids

So, the new book is up. It's only been up for a day or so. I had good luck with giving Harem away for free at first. In 5 days, people downloaded 500 copies. Free downloads will tempt anyone. :)

Harem for me is the best book I've done since Little Brown Girl. It has a lot less plot, I think, but it just works for me. From beginning to finish, I found writing it exciting, and even now I find reading it exciting.

I found A Tale of Two Maids exciting to write, too, but you never know how it really reads until you've gained some distance.

A Tale of Two Maids is my little story about a wife who talks her husband into visiting a high-class resort as a sexy French Maid, and then things spin out of control. I'll leave that to your imagination.

Also, I'd like to plug Solar Harris, who has written two lovely stories: Acquired and Collected. If you like TG AND Sci-Fi as I do, these two stories are really perfect. One unexpectedly builds on the other, and there's a promise of a third story out in the Summer.

So, Second Life. . . . Does anyone play on there? I have two female avatars and one male avatar. Guess which ones I play the most! Aw, you peeked. With one, I'm having just a lovely little relationship with a female sub, which is a bit surprising, since I usually love playing the sub myself, but it's been really nice.

It does make me think a lot about being submissive in RL though. I'm so used to being expected to be dominant in my relationships that I almost can't imagine it any other way, yet I do long for it, but how would that work exactly? The truth is while I love the idea of being a submissive man in an FLR relationship, I'm afraid of reacting poorly. What if I freak out? What if I get mad at her when she tries to boss me around? What would my friends think? You can't hide that kind of thing for long. Even if no one comes out and says it, there's a vibe that is usually readily apparent.

I'm also on Fetlife, in case anyone feels like looking me up. I'm not very active there, but I like it because it's less of a dating site, less of a pay and get nothing but promises site, and more of a site where people do actually hang out and talk and post messages on the forums to discuss things they feel are interesting. And you can choose local groups if you want to connect.

I'm at a bit of a loss now though, since A Tale of Two Maids is done. I can go back to writing the Nine Portals series, which I would like to finish (I have another book that is ready to be posted, but I haven't felt the desire to do so - A Tale got in the way), but it's not a book that's really pushing out there like Little Brown Girl and Her Turn and Harem all did. Even Redemption did really well for the longest time and it's a short. It's funny that Belief got a little critical review for being too short for 2.99. I'm always seeing books that are 5000 words and even shorter at the same price, but then I tend to not buy those. Maybe 12,000 words is too short for 2.99? I really do care about people getting their money's worth. I'm not out to gouge or rip anyone off. I want them to enjoy what I've written.

Cover design. I'll admit, I'm not much of an artist, but I am enjoying making covers. A Tale of Two Maids is not one of my favorites. Maybe Belief is or Isolation. Isolation just has a nice look to it. I love it, actually, a naked pink-haired girl curled into the fetal position, floating in a bubble in space over a planet? I just think it turned out really well. I wanted something better for A Tale of Two Maids, but what you see is the best I could come up with.

If anyone actually reads these (except for you Robi, and I hope you finish your project soon and get it all edited - you know I'll read it), feel free to leave comments. I'd ask for some reviews on A Tale, too, but that can be a double edged sword, lol. On Harem, I was shocked my British audience (also my favorite country other than my own) posted some negative reviews. Oh well, what can you do?

Thanks to anyone who reads my stuff. I'll even make an offer. Post a comment here or send me an email (put Free Book or A Tale of Two Maids in the subject line), and I'll send you a free Kindle copy.
